Hydraulic and Lube Oil Filtration
Most heavy machinery uses some type of hydraulic or lube oil for lubrication. Water and or particulate contamination in the oil can cause serious problems with this machinery. Water contamination in the hydraulic oil can produce an emulsion that degrades the effectiveness of the oil and causes pre-mature metal corrosion. Particle contamination will hasten wear and deterioration of vital parts in the machinery. Both types of contamination increase downtime and labor costs, not to mention oil disposal costs.
With multi-pass filtration, our filter systems can remove water and/or particulate from hydraulic and lube oil and thus extend the fluid life. Both fine (down to 4 micron and below) and gross (greater than 100 micron) contamination can be removed through the use of multi-pass filtration.
Multi-pass filtration is performed on a kidney loop basis so the hydraulic oil in the machinery sump is filtered continuously, independent of the machines normal operation. Since filtration occurs independent of the machines normal operation, a specified or minimum flow rate does not have to be maintained. Filtration can be performed slowly and continuously reducing total contamination in the sump/reservoir resulting in impressive ISO codes.
We have various solutions to filter hydraulic and lube oil. Our portable oil filter carts can move easily from job to job while our dedicated filter system can filter oil for each sump. Both systems use multi-pass filtration to remove contaminants and water from the oil.
