Quench Oil Filtration System

ISSUE: An independent lab had been testing the quench oil in the customer’s furnace for a number of years. The analysis covered Viscosity, Flash Point, Flash Point, Moisture, Bottom Solids, Quench Speed, TAN, and Cooling Rate. Their analysis showed that both the Cooling Rate and Quench Speed were both dropping below specifications, indicating dirtier oil.

SOLUTION: After filtering with our Quench Oil Filtration System, the Cooling Rate rose from 5.02 to 5.11, indicating a much cleaner quench oil. This represents a 56% improvement. The quench speed increased from 17.4 seconds to 18.6 seconds (within 1.2 seconds of the baseline). This represents a 32% improvement.
